Every Stoutfab flatbed, stakebed or derivative starts with (8-to18-foot beds)10-gage steel, side and end rails or (beds over 18-ft) 7-gage steel rails. Cross bars are spaced 16-in. apart. The floors are either (8-to-18-ft) 7/8-in. Apitong hardwood  or (over 18-ft) 1 1/8-in. Apitong. The header is half diamond plate and half steel mesh. The bumper is an ICC-specification, flush design. The truck's original rear lighting is retained and all clearance lights required by law are installed on the bed. Standard paint choices are white or black. Optional is just about any color a customer might want. If the customer orders a stakebed, standard Stoutfab gates are made with 3-in. Apitong hardwood posts and 1x6-in. Apitong slats. Optional gate configurations are steel and wood, all-steel or all-aluminum. Additional options are rope hooks and a dump hoist.

All aluminum planks are mounted to hi-strength steel or aluminum bearers.  They have full-length, tie rails down both sides of the body. Of course, aluminum truck bodies cost more, but Stoutfab offers some of the lowest Load Maximizer  prices in the industry.
